My name is Matthew Colvin Rodriguez. I am 24 years old and working towards becoming a software engineer. I live in Washington, DC (soon to be Los Angeles), but grew up in the suburbs of Columbus, OH.
I am new to the idea of going back to college to get my degree, but I am not new to tech. As the product of two computer engineers, at a certain point I realized that I was far more comfortable sitting at my keyboard than I was anywhere else in the world. It was the fact that there was a whole realm of possibilities right in front of me that brought me here now, and there’s still so much left to do.
This is a blog created so that I can share various projects I work on and organize my thoughts about them. I also wanted to keep track of goals and ideas I have to pursue in the future. The journey looks like one full of challenges, but (not that I’m opposed to challenging myself) plenty of opportunities to learn and create.
The blog should serve not just as a portfolio or something to fill out a resume, but to connect with people both old and new and leave them with a feeling that they want to go create something now too.
