A Collection of Projects and Thoughts

Linux Distributions

I’ve been almost exclusively using Linux for about 6 months now after daily driving Windows for most of my life. With this increased usage, I’ve certainly become more comfortable with the inner-workings of an operating system. I’ve been hopping between various Debian and Arch-based systems, and in doing so I’ve found I have started to figure out what’s important to me in an OS and what tools are important to me.

I’ve decided to put together a post here of my experiences with each distribution I’ve tried. These experiences include any issues I faced, how long I used the distribution and why I stopped (if applicable), as well as my personal opinion and a just-for-fun rating. Let’s get into it starting with:

Ubuntu (22.04 LTS, 23.10, and 24.04 LTS)
